KEY CONCEPTS

Tasks: Tasks are your 'to do' items. These can be anything from a grocery list item to a meeting you scheduled with your son's teacher. You can set due dates and alerts for your tasks, and can assign tasks to appropriate Locations and Categories (see below).

To Do vs. Done vs. Delete: You can indicate that you have completed a task by tapping the status circle on the left hand side of the task bar. Tapping the circle will mark the item complete, and will move the item from your To Do list to the Done list. You can review tasks that you have previously completed by tapping the Done toggle at the bottom of a Category or Location page. If you want to reactivate a task, simply select the checked status circle for a particular task to move the task back to the To Do list. If you want to delete a task, tap the "Edit" button on the bottom left hand corner of the screen and select the tasks (or Categories or Locations) you want to delete. Deleting a task (or category or location) will permanently remove it from your Intuition.

Locations and Categories: Locations and Categories are different ways of organizing and viewing your tasks. They're like folders. Locations represent the important places in your life: home, school, work, favorite store, etc. Categories are non-location based ways to organize your tasks (e.g., events, phone calls, etc.). Intuition comes with default locations and categories, but you can always create new ones (see below for more information).

TASKS

How do I enter a task?

There are four ways to add a task:

  1. Tap on the "Add Task" petal.
  2. Just tap on the 'Add' button on the top right of the Tasks By Location, Tasks by Category or Calendar View.
  3. Tap the 'Add' button on the top right within a particular location or category
  4. Tap the "+" button on the left side of a category folder.

How do I delete a task?

When viewing a list of tasks, tap the "Edit" button on the bottom left of the screen. This will take you to the "Delete" screen where you can select the task entry you want to delete.

Select the task (s) you want to delete, then tap the "Delete" button on the bottom of the screen.

How do I add due dates and reminders to a task?

You can add due dates and schedule reminders for each task from the Task details screen. Just click on any task you have created, then select a due date or reminder from the details menu. You'll always get a friendly alert reminding you to bring Aunt Tessie her prescriptions or that it's your turn to cut the construction paper in Hannah's classroom. You must register with Intuition (via the My Account tab in the My Info section) to receive e-mail alerts.

When are notifications sent?

Email notifications are sent at midnight on the alert date specified (you must register to receive e-mail alerts), and push notifications are sent at the alert time specified (or at 7 am if the alert time is set for "On due date"). If you no longer want to receive e-mail notifications, you can turn e-mail notifications off via the Preferences tab of the My Info section. You can turn push notifications off via the Notifications section of the iPhone settings.

LOCATIONS AND CATEGORIES

How do I create a new location?

You can create a new location from the Tasks by Location page, by simply tapping the 'Edit' button on the bottom left hand corner, then tapping 'Add' from the next screen. Each location is assigned a color to help you quickly associate a task with a particular location (e.g., all tasks that you need to do at home are green). You can also assign an address to a Location. Intuition can then display your locations on a map and help you find services nearby that can help you manage your to-do lists.

How do I create a new category?

You can create a new location from the Tasks by Category page, by simply tapping the 'Edit' button on the bottom left hand corner, then tapping 'Add' from the next screen.

GROCERY LISTS

How can I create a location or category that uses the grocery list template?

The grocery list template appears for any location that has been classified as a "Grocery Store" location type. You can set the location type by tapping the "Edit" button on the bottom of the Tasks by Location page, and then editing or adding the location type (and other location details) from this Edit Locations page.

How do I add a new item to the grocery list?

  1. Type a grocery item into the search box on top of the grocery list.
  2. Select the '+' icon when it appears (it will appear next to the word you are typing). After you select the "+", your custom item will appear below the search box for you to confirm.
  3. To confirm that you want to add this item to your current shopping list, select the "Done" button at the top left of the screen. This will take you to the main grocery list (with your "custom" item added to the list).
  4. You can either add more items to your grocery list, or tap the "Save" button on the top right to finish your list.

Can I see previously purchased grocery items?

Yes. Simply open your supermarket or grocery store location, and select the 'Previous' button on the bottom of the screen. You will see a list of all of the items you have previously purchased. If you want to add it back to your current list, simply tap the check mark, and it will reactivate the item.

SHARING

How do I e-mail my to-do list to friends and family?

It's easy. First, tap the 'Share' button from the bottom right hand corner of almost any page. Second, tap the e-mail option on the Share screen, and then select the lists or items you want to share. You can share all of the tasks for a location or a category when you share from the Tasks by Location or Tasks by Category pages, and can share all of your tasks for a day or month via the share button on the Calendar pages.

Can I share via Facebook or Twitter?

Yes. Simply tap the 'Share' button from the bottom right hand corner of almost any page, then select the Facebook or Twitter option. You will then be able to post whatever project you are working on or want help with directly to your Facebook or Twitter account.

SYNCING

How do I sync with Google Calendar?

Enter your Google e-mail address and password in the Calendar section of the Preferences tab (which can be reached via the My Info purple petal). Within 15 minutes your Intuition calendar will be uploaded to your Google calendar, under the calendar name "Intuition" and every time you edit your calendar in Intuition, your Intuition calendar in Google will be automatically updated.

How do I sync with my iPhone calendar?

You can upload your Intuition calendar to your iPhone calendar via Google.

It requires three steps: one from the Intuition app, one from your iPhone general settings tab, and one from your Google calendar.

First, in Intuition, go to the Preferences tab of the My Info section, and enter your Google email address and password. This will automatically start uploading your Intuition calendar to your Google calendar.

Second, in your iPhone, go to the general Settings section of your iPhone and sync your Google calendar to your iPhone calendar. This takes a few steps, but its pretty straight forward.

  1. Open the Settings application on your device's home screen.
  2. Open Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Select Add Account.
  4. Select Other.
  5. Select Add CalDAV Account (under the Calendar section)
  6. Enter your account information:
    • In the Server field, enter: google.com
    • In the Username field, enter your full Google Account email address (e.g., maryjane@gmail.com)
    • In the Password field, enter your Google Account password.
    • In the Description field, enter the name you'd like to appear on the account.
  7. Select Next at the top of your screen.

Third, in Google, indicate that you want your Intuition schedule uploaded to your iPhone calendar. You can do this by logging into your Google account from your computer, going to the following website and selecting the "Intuition" calendar box (tap "save" on the bottom right to start the syncing).

Your Intuition schedule will soon appear in your iPhone calendar and the iPhone calendar will be automatically updated as you make changes in Intuition.

How do I sync my Intuition calendar with my iCal Calendar?

You can upload your Intuition calendar via Google. You do not need to make any changes to your Google account, we simply use Google to pass information between Intuition and iCal. Here is what you need to do:

First, go to the Preferences tab of the My Info section (the purple flower petal) on Intuition, and enter your Google email address and password.

Second, upload your Intuition calendar into iCal.

  1. Open Apple iCal
  2. Go to the Preferences section under the iCal tab, and then the Accounts tab.
  3. Click on the + button to add an account.
  4. Select Account Type: CalDAV
  5. Under User Name and Password, enter your Google Account username and password.
  6. Under Server Options, add the following URL:
    https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/YOUREMAIL@DOMAIN.COM/user
  7. Replace 'youremail@domain.com' with your google email address (e.g., mary@gmail.com). Also, do not delete the "/user" at the end.
  8. Click Add.
  9. Under the Delegation tab, select the Intuition calendar? by checking the box next to it. You may need to hit refresh to get the latest list of calendars.

After you provide this information, you will soon see your Intuition tasks automatically appear in iCal, and they will be updated automatically every time you edit your calendar in Intuition.

Can I sync with Outlook, Mobile Me or Yahoo!

Currently, we do not support syncing to Outlook, Mobile Me or Yahoo!, but we know it is important to our customers and are working to find a sync solution for these calendaring systems.

The Nearby View (map view) doesn't show my current location

Your iPhone or iPod Touch provides Intuition with information about your current location, and sometimes, if you are connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi, the location information is inaccurate because it is based on the location where your Wi-Fi router was originally purchased or manufactured.

If you're using an iPhone, turn of your Wi-Fi and connect with the cell network. If you are using an iPod Touch, try connecting via a different Wi-Fi network or checking your wireless router's settings.

How can I add a custom grocery item to the grocery list?

  1. Type a grocery item into the search box on top of the grocery list.
  2. Select the '+' icon when it appears (it will appear next to the word you are typing). After you select the "+", your custom item will appear below the search box for you to confirm.
  3. To confirm that you want to add this item to your current shopping list, select the "Done" button at the top left of the screen. This will take you to the main grocery list (with your "custom" item added to the list).
  4. You can either add more items to your grocery list, or tap the "Save" button on the top right to finish your list.

How can I set up e-mail reminders?

You can turn on e-mail notifications when you provide your e-mail address via the Preferences tab of the My Info section.

Once you have turned these notifications on, you will receive e-mail notifications for all of the tasks you have set alerts for. Email notifications are sent at midnight on the alert date specified.

How can I set up text/chime alerts?

First, enable "Push Notification" for Intuition from your general iPhone settings (not from within our application):

  1. Select the iPhone Settings tab.
  2. Select the Notifications section from within Settings (this should be the third section, right below WiFi)
  3. Enable "Notifications from Intuition" (make sure the Alerts and Badges from Intuition are on)

Once you have enabled Push Notifications, you simply set alerts via the Task Details page. You can set two different alerts for each task.

How can I permanently delete a task?

When viewing a list of tasks, tap the "Edit" button on the bottom left of the screen. This will take you to the "Delete" screen where you can select the task entry you want to delete.

Select the task (s) you want to delete, then tap the "Delete" button on the bottom of the screen.

How can I add, edit, sort or delete a Category?

Go the Tasks by Categories page (the main view), then select the "Edit" button on the bottom left, which will take you the Edit Categories page, where you can Add, Delete, Edit or Move your Category folders.

To delete a folder, select the folder you want to delete (by tapping on the circle on the left hand side of the category folder), then select the "Delete" button on the bottom of the page.

Select "Done" on the top left corner, and you will return to the Tasks by Category page and see your changes.

How can I add, edit, sort or delete a Location?

Go the Tasks by Location page (via the Nearby Petal) then select the "Edit" button on the bottom left, which will take you the Edit Locations page, where you can Add, Delete, Edit or Move your Location folders.

To delete a folder, simply select the folder you want to delete (by tapping on the circle on the left hand side of the location folder), then select the "Delete" button on the bottom of the page.

Select "Done" on the top left corner, and you will return to the Tasks by Location page and see your changes.

Will changes I make to my Intuition schedule directly from Google Calendar or my iPhone Calendar be saved in Intuition?

Unfortunately, not at this time, though we will be offering this two way sync very soon. Stay tuned.

COMMUNITY

What is the Intuition Community?

The community is where you can go to find suggestions, pre-populated checklists, tips and ideas to help you get organized. Find checklists on how to throw a baby shower, recipes for healthy dishes, tips on how to get back into shape, game and book ideas for your children and much more. You can download these templates straight to your Intuition and use them as your own. In the future, you will be able to upload your own checklists if you want to share them with the Intuition community.

Can I upload my suggestions and tips for others to use?

Currently, you can't upload your tips to the Intuition Gallery, but you can always send us your suggestions and tips for the community. Just send an e-mail to: support@iconapps.com

Why should I register?

Registering keeps your data safely online so you can access it whenever you want. Registration also lets you hear the ting-ting! of those handy daily email notifications. Plus it's your front-of-the-line pass into the Intuition community of women and mothers where you can share ideas, tips, and inspiration. Finally, registration is your ticket to saving money! You get first-hand info on special deals and cost-saving coupons from local retailers.

How do I register with Intuition?

You can register your account by providing a valid e-mail address and choosing an Intuition password on the My Account tab in the My Info section of your application.

How do I retrieve my Intuition data from an old iPhone to my new iPhone?

If you have registered your account, then you can retrieve all of the information you have previously entered into Intuition by entering your e-mail and Intuition password via the Retrieve My Account button in the My Account section of the application.

Is my data private?

Yes. We absolutely, positively do not share any of your personal data with any third parties. We do want you to know, though, that some of the data that does not identify you in any way will be used in the future to provide you with personalized offers based on your location, hobbies, and other preferences. However, this doesn't change in any way the fact that your personal, identifying information is never shared. Never!
